I began dancing when I was 12 years old after being an elite gymnast for 7 years. I instantly fell in love with the art form and my passion, desire and motivation continues to grow each day. In my gymnastics career I competed at multiple national final competitions for the southwest squad team as well as many other high-level competitions. Gymnastics was a huge part of my life as it taught me courage, strength, determination, and discipline which I carry around with me in my everyday life, as well as in the dancing world too. After realizing that my favorite apparatus to perform was the floor exercise I decided I wanted to take dance classes and completely loved the way I felt while performing. I began my journey in attending street dance and ballet classes before adventuring into other styles such as contemporary, jazz, commercial and tap. Once I began taking classes every day I found my love and strength for commercial and contemporary as these styles allow me to feel free and expressive through my movements and give me a sense of excitement and joy when I perform. I now love to explore and create my own material through these incredible styles of art. After training at theschool for 3 years and taking part in many projects and shows I decided I wanted to study dance as a professional in the future which is why I auditioned at Bath Dance College for the BTEC level 3 diploma course. Which is where I am currently training in many dance styles, such as Ballet, contemporary, commercial, jazz, musical theatre, tap as well as singing and acting. I am now loving dance more than ever and am looking forward to where the future will take me. Thank you to theschool for the opportunity you have given me over the years, not only as a student but for also allowing and believing me to become part of the assistant dance teaching team to teach Commercial Jazz.
