Welcome to theschool of Contemporary Dance and Theatre Arts.
theschool was founded in 2012 and is run by three partners, Ian Woolley, Rob Nash and Chloe Wilde. At theschool we believe in providing a collaborative and aspirational training environment for students aged 4-18.
We believe in nurturing, coaching and mentoring our students to realise their true potential within a student centred and safe environment so they will flourish into exceptionally creative adults and maintain these transferable skills throughout their life.
At theschool we believe in giving young people opportunities to expand their skills. To support this, we give our older students the opportunity to support students in Young School. We also give our alumni students opportunities to teach at theschool during normal lesson time and holiday workshops.
We have never forgotten our true purpose; to support our students to belong, believe and become. This belief has seen many of our alumni students go onto to higher education, graduate courses, working in television, film and music industries as well as other prestigious career paths.
BELONG… because every single student at the school belongs in our community. We believe in inclusivity while supporting and celebrating each other. It is a core value that we are proud to say our students always uphold and surpass.
BELIEVE… because every child and young person deserves to thrive and have the confidence and resilience to know that they have an incredibly valuable contribution to make in the world as an individual within a team.
BECOME… because we encourage and guide our students to be whatever they dream of, whether that dream is to be a professional within a creative industry or if they just want to be involved for fun.
