Thanks to Molly for being our ‘student’ guest blogger this month!
My name is Molly, I’m 17 and I have now been attending the school for 2 years. The school has given me so many opportunities and has open so many more avenues then I thought were possible.
I have been dancing since I was 3 and have really enjoyed it but since attending the school I have begun to understand how to dance from nature, your body. The training I have received from Ian has taught me how the body moves with little effort and I am learning techniques from a wide range of dance styles.
“Ian, Rob and Chloe have such a passion for what they do which inspires me to do well.”
“theschool has created a creative, friendly and nurturing environment whereby my class and I can improve..”
In singing, I have recently came first place in my solo and duet performance in the Nailsea music festival. I wouldn’t have been able to do this without the help of Rob the singing teacher who has allowed my voice to take shape.
Last year’s production of ‘Blue Remembered Hill’s’ was so much fun and also challenging. Chloe chose this play as it allowed us to explore something that we haven’t explored before. But this is what I love about theschool. They chose things that challenge us but they are willing to help us through and learn about new areas within each discipline.
I left a previous school because I wasn’t being ‘stretched’ or challenged enough. I was the oldest and they only seemed to focus on the class as a whole and not on individual improvement, but at theschool that is certainly not the case.
Ian, Rob and Chloe have such a passion for what they do which inspires me to do well. These people have a genuine love for performing and I look up to them all and hope someday I can be like them.
The school has created a creative, friendly and nurturing environment whereby my class and I can improve.
Over the two years I have been at the school there has been an enormous change in my body and voice which can only get stronger from here on out. I am looking forward to the future with them and the training that lies ahead.
